Depuis Oran, difficile de rater ce mastodonte en pierre, taillé dans la colline et perché à 400 mètres de hauteur sur le massif de l'Aïdour. Construit au XVIe siècle par les Espagnols, le fort Santa-Cruz a été restauré par les Français trois siècles plus tard. Il est aujourd'hui classé monument national en sa qualité de témoin de l'histoire algéro-franco-espagnole
