Today's hike in brilliant sunshine (26°C) was from Glenmore near the Reindeer Centre to lochans beyond Ryvoan Bothy, home of the Red-throated Diver. Part of the loop back is what rated it an intermediate hike - several hundred rough stone steps up the steep slope of Meall a' Bhuachaille (2,657 feet). It was 7.5 miles for the round trip back to the car. We were back home in time for a late lunch on the patio
