Abriachan Gardens, and Loch Ness trek 2022-06-19

Today's walk took us down the north bank of Loch Ness to the Abriachan Gardens, an entire hillside covered in winding paths through acres of gardens developed by one family over the past several decades. We also walked up the hillside several hundred feet above Loch Ness, and along a path that took us further down the loch to the Clansman Hotel, a singularly unattractive tourist trap, which however served a decent light lunch before we trekked back up the hill to Abriachan!
Anyone who enjoys flowering shrubs and trees would enjoy a visit to Abriachan, which is quite close to Castle Urquhart.
We clocked up six miles by the end of the day.
