Common Newt

A wide range of creepy-crawlies live in our pond. Hauling out the blanket weed yesterday we found it had some passengers...Common (or garden?) Newts. Fortunately they are amphibious so they will find their way back to the pond - we leave the blanket weed on the edge for a few days so they can go home.
