Two leaves and a bud 18k gold brooch on black

Commissioned from Hamilton and Co, Calcutta, which was established in 1808, and became known as the Garrards of India. It was designed by a tea planter as a present for his wife, and represents the two leaves and a bud which when plucked and processed make the finest tea.
