15,000 gallons later...


Fed up looking at a dried out pond with no waterbirds, I bit the bullet and switched the tube well pump on. 36 hours at 7 gallons per minute - you do the maths! A day later there was a Great Blue Heron perched in the shallows when I went down in the morning, and a bunch of mallards. Was it worth £7 in electricity: definitely!
