Digital Cameras have come a long way


- since I bought Leica's first digital camera - made for them by Fuji, about thirty years ago from the Leica dealer in Frankfurt - can it have been that long ago? I understand they only made about 6,000 of these - I wonder how many are still in use, as this one is? (Serial No 2460309) bowed and battered but still operating fully...owning the 1934 III, the 1958 M3 and the 1980s R4, this was my first foray into Leica's digital cameras, and indeed it was their first foray into digital. Frankly I wasn't at all impressed, particularly when I found it was a Fuji with a Leica icon and a bit of black leather stuck on the front. I haven't bought another Leica since...
