A few weeks back, I noticed potato plants sprouting out of my hillside compost - where I tip all the garden and pond rubbish, over the edge of a "cliff"....as they had flowered a week or so ago, I dug a couple of them up this morning just out of curiosity - not a bad crop from some throwaways!
