"Panama Yellow"

Looking at the rather scruffy 48 year-old air filter and rocker cover on my old car the other day, I wondered how I was going to be able to match the original colour to what may be available today. God bless Google: I found a website where you entered car model, year of manufacture, and part which needed to be repainted and it came up with the colour name and code. A quick trip to paints4u.com produced a couple of 400 ml aerosol cans of enamel paint exactly matched to the original. Dismantling the parts and cleaning them off in petrol (No smoking please: You'll blow us all up!) and then spraying them with a couple of coats, and the incongruous yellow pan and rocker cover were back in place an hour later, ready for its photograph to be taken!
