wir haben sie auch sehr geliebt und nannten sie zärtlich "Omi", die andere Großmutter väterlicherseits nannten wir "Oma Hassel", sie mochten wir nicht so gerne ...

My son's best friend while growing up had a German grandma and she always called her "Omi" so that's what I called her too. I thought it was her name. ;-)
