My first year in Spain saw a plague of hares. Every field was teeming with them.
I was told that every 15 years or so this happened and then myxomatosis or the hare equivalent killed most of them off until resistance built up again and the cycle continued . (Not sure about this as I thought hares carried myxomatosis but did not suffer from it - I will have to Google it, some other time!).
Have a good week.
Best wishes, Andy
