These guys can be heard at the hide at Filsham, we've hardly ever seen any, and you can look and look for hours for where the voices are coming from and never see one.
They seem to throw thier voices. Finally we saw loads of activity out in the water. I begged and croaked back to get them to come closer and show me thier water wings.....lol but they stayed well away.

For anyone thats not familiar that field in the right side of this photo is normally boggy but dry, the river to the left is not long from meeting the field.
Not quite as bad as the year one of the bridges escaped into this flooded area of pebsham and the ranger spent months trying to catch it, but after escaping the wet floods behind us this did NOT look promising.
Myself once I was wet to my knees, I no longer gave a crap how deep my next step was and proceeded to just run past him to take this photo. The torrential rains the night before cause this normally dry patch of path to be wet, but in the back ground is our local Tip site, which were pumping water out by thousands of gallons, so this was filling up as we came through. It was run through it or trek back for miles out of our way to get home.
