Smoky Wainscot


This moth resembles some of the Wainscot moths, however, due to its width and its proximity to the reed beds, and the amount of caterpillars we saw over the spring and summer, I believe this is the Reed Dagger.
Mean while back on the ranch... Ha, not likely a Reed Dagger, although we did record several caterpillars I suspect this is the Smokey Wainscot.
