Während der Hungersnot in Irland von 1845 bis 1852 starben eine Million Menschen, etwa zwölf Prozent der irischen Bevölkerung. Weitere zwei Millionen wanderten aus.

Durch das Museumsschiff Jeanie Johnston und der Skulptur Famine wurde ich auf diese Tragödie aufmerksam.
Vor allem die eindrucksvollen Figuren von Famine des irischen Bronzegussbildhauers Rowan Gillespie finde ich äusserst faszinierend ...

La visite guidée sur le bateau était impressionnante et lorsque nous sommes passés devant les sculptures, cela m'a fortement fasciné ... Je 'devais' réunir ces deux objets d'une manière ou d'une autre (et grâce à Photoshop, c'était possible).

Das Schiff ist toll, die Führung war hochinteressant, die dargestellten Szenen wirken echt ... irgendwie ging's 'unter die Haut!!
