#2715 is the last of eleven GP35 diesel-electrics delivered to the Savannah & Atlanta Railroad by EMD between 1964 and 1965. One thousand, three hundred and thirty-three GP35s were built from 1963 to 1966. With a 2,500 hp 567D3A 16 cylinder prime mover, they delivered 50,000 lbs tractive effort at 9.3 mph.
