dinner in Kalaw

We walked about a km in Kalaw to get from the station to the bus stop (no taxis at the station) and poor Ad had to carry our big suitcase in his arms as the wheels had karked it in Mandalay. I know, a suitcase, right? But we thought: we're only going to 4 places and will take taxis from the station to the hotels in each, so why not. Anyways,we got to the bus station and had a mere 3 hours to wait for our overnight "luxury" bus. It looked good, and we had a movie screen for each seat and a food package, but we were at the front on the top floor of it, right behind the windscreen. The bus had to drive through the night on winding mountain roads with hairpin bends, and... seemed to have no headlights. But they compensated by having a man stand beside the driver with a floodlight to light up the road ahead. No problem!
