crabapple tree

Every year this crab-apple tree is heavily laden with fruit. We haven't harvested any till now, leaving it to the parrots. Today I picked a bucketful and will have a crack at crab-apple jelly. Incidentally, it's also the only fruit tree I haven't pruned since we moved here; what does this say about my pruning skills?
