Die Bank bezieht sich heute nicht nur auf die Sitzbank, welche hier ja etwas am Rande auch zu sehen sind. - Die zahlreichen schmalen, mit Geländer versehenen Holzbrücken, über die man zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad die Fließe (Spreearme im Spreewald) überqueren kann, werden auch Bänke genannt.
