Seeing abandoned textile factories hits home.
This part of North Carolina closed textile production when NAFTA was put into the picture.
Much less expensive to have textiles done elsewhere than in the USA.
At least many of the shuttered factories have been re-purposed
There is one on the table now that some want to demolish and put something new in that place.
No idea how it will turn out .. am just so glad that the 100yr old mill here was re-purposed into Loft apartments.
