Ja, das Problem mit den Differenzen bei den Höhenangaben ist oft auch, dass das Hospitz nicht auf der Passhöhe ist. Bzw. dass es verschiedene Höhen gibt und der definierte Punkt des Passes nicht am höchsten Punkt ist. Oft sind ja auch noch Grenzen (Kantone, Länder) involviert, und dann ist der Pass eben auf der Grenze und nicht am höchsten Punkt.
