A rainbow and a concrete arch, the rainbow wandered with me ;-) The Kölnbrein reservoir is the largest reservoir in Austria, it's the upper reservoir of the "Malta hydro power plant". The max. level is 1902 m, the energy content of the full storage is 588.3 GWh with a water volume of about 200 mio. m³. The concrete dam is a double arched construction.

Ich habe auch mal einen unter mir gesehen, am Semmering war das, glaube ich. Dazu muss die Sonne recht hoch stehen und halt irgendwie durch Wolkenlücken zum Regen hier unten durch scheinen können. Und das Gelände muss auch stimmen - im Wiener Becken wirst recht wenig Chancen auf so ein Phänomen haben.
Sehr schöne Aufnahme. Der thematische Kontrast der Bögen ist in der (künstlichen) Uferlinie ja auch noch einmal gegeben.

Ja, der Wasserstand ist extrem niedrig, vor allem wegen des letzten Winters. Bis zum Herbst sollte sich der Speicher allerdings wieder halbwegs auffüllen.....
