Manhattan Municipal Building - 1986


Manhattan Municipal Building, 1 Centre Street, built 1907-1914, 41 floors, 182.9 m. The structure was built to accommodate increased governmental space demands after the 1898 consolidation of the city's five boroughs.Its architectural style has been characterized as Roman Imperial, Italian Renaissance, French Renaissance, or Beaux-Arts.
