dead juniper view - 1986
"Elephant Butte" at the left border, then "Stagecoach", "East Mitten Butte" in the dead juniper tree's centre, and "Cly Butte" to the right. This is the so called "North Window" of Monument Valley. The PiP's show other formats and treatments. Surprisingly I couldn't find any coincident image in the internet. - scanned slides, Minolta X700

Mein Favorit wäre eine kontrastreiche SW-Ausarbeitung wie hier mit dem Bild-Ausschnitt des folgenden Bildes....

Aber nein, passt schon, endlich mal jemand, der sagt was Sache ist ;-))) Hab mir das ja selbst auch schon gedacht, aber 4 vom gleichen Motiv wäre dann ja doch zu viel gewesen ;-)

Nö nö, das passt schon so! ;-)
Ich habe mir noch überlegt, was wäre, wenn man einen Rotfilter drüber legen würde? Der Himmel und die "blaue Ferne" würden dunkler, Felsen und Sand heller. Der Baum?
Vielleicht hat Berny ja noch Zeit ein bisschen herum zu spielen.

Ich hab' gerade mit einem Screenshot davon herum gespielt (hätte zwar auch noch anderes, eigenes vor allem, aber die Neugier war zu groß), geht nicht mit Gelb-, Orange, Rotfilter. Macht den Himmel viel zu unruhig. Mit Sepia weich und Blaufilter (!!) war ich halbwegs zufrieden ... ;-)

Exakt, ich habe mich natürlich auch gespielt, aber dem Himmel tut's nicht gut. Das vorige Querformat bekam tw. ein Blaufilter verpasst.

Das Hauptbild gefällt mir eindeutig am besten: auf's wesentliche beschnitten, tiefe Schatten/starker Kontrast - macht die Dramatik der Szene resp. des toten Baumes am deutlichsten.
Diese Serie könntest in einem Lehrbuch veröffentlichen.

SW ist absolut richtig und man sieht, dass sich das Bild vom Quadrat zum Rechteck "völlig" verändert... Quadratisch ist hier fein - da kommt der Baum und der Blick super zur Geltung.
