Observatorio del Teide is an astronomical observatory on Mount Teide at 2390 metres, built in 1964. There are Solar telescopes, Nocturnal telescopes and Radio telescopes. In the background volcano Pico del Teide, 3718 m.

Ungewöhnlich, in dieser Höhe noch Regenwolken! Schließlich hat man das Observatorium in dieser Höhe gebaut, um freie Sicht zu haben. Fürs Foto sind die Wolken aber ein Glücksfall!

Also unter uns war da eine geschlossene Wolkenschicht, beim Rauffahren hat man quasi die Hand vor den Augen nicht gesehen. Aber offenbar hatte sich über dem Teide noch eine hohe Wolke gebildet.

Wolken irgendwo zwischen 800 und 1800 m hatten wir an der Nordküste regelmäßig. Orte, wie Aquamansa (weiches Wasser) in 1000 m Höhe steckten fast immer im Nebel. Oben in der Caldera über 2000 m gab's meistens den blauen Himmel.
