as if they were still storing some electricity....and while it's actually completely silent, one can hear the noise of the fast revolving wheel!

May I please ask the expert, is the big wheel a generator or alternator, I don't know? Behind the big one are two smaller generators or alternators too. Don't know much about this machines, except I recently changed my Brough Superior from generator to alternator+rectifier to achieve DC again.
