Bath - Pulteney Bridge

Pulteney Bridge crosses the River Avon in Bath, England. It was completed by 1774, and connected the city with the land of the Pulteney family which they wished to develop. Designed by Robert Adam in a Palladian style, it is exceptional in having shops built across its full span on both sides.

The light on the stonework is really beautiful and has brought out the colours and detail superbly. An instant fave for me................just outstanding!

Die Spiegelung ist nicht scharf, es waren nur ganz feine Wellen, die bei 13 sec verwischt sind. Ich poste dann noch ein Bild mit kurzer Belichtungszeit, da sieht man das. Danke Dir!

Das freut mich, Danke, Christa! Laut Wiki ist "Avon" ein Wort aus der walisischen Sprache und bedeutet „Fluss“, also doch wohl "...über den Avon" ;-)
