CMA CGM Marco Polo is a London-registered container ship of the Explorer class. In 2012 it became the largest container ship in the world measured by capacity (16,020 TEU), but was surpassed in 2013 by the Maersk Triple E class (18,270 TEU), which is 4 metres longer at precisely 400m in length. This ship is 396 m long, 53.6 m wide and 29.9 m tall from deck edge to keel. We had luck, because the Maersk was moored just in the opposite (see PiP's).
