Phare du Four
Standing on a granite island in front of the coast at the small peninsula Saint-Laurent, the lighthouse operates since 1873. 12 sailors died since then heading to the lighthouse in the difficult currents.

A much photographed lighthouse and the site for some spectacular photography sold worldwide (signed Jean Guichard in particular, who has shot all the local lighthouses I guess..

At our trip the sea was always calm - and so all photos are very unspectecular, compared to some amazing images available in the web....thanks for the link!
