Kitzbüheler Horn

Dann wandert die Sonne abends weit genug nördlich, um das Kitzbüheler Horn von der Seite her zu beleuchten. Dass an dem Abend alles passte, war ein Geschenk des Himmels. Another view:

An excursion attraction from St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria). You can take the cable car up to the Harschbichl (1,604 m). This is where the photo was taken. A well-kept hiking trail leads to the summit. There are 392 metres of altitude to overcome. A good summit restaurant awaits you at the top. ~~~~~ Ein Ausflugsziel von St. Johann in Tirol (Österreich). Man kann mit der Gondelbahn bis auf den Harschbichl (1.604 m) hinauf fahren. Hier wurde das Foto aufgenommen. Zum Gipfel führt ein gut ausgebauter Wanderweg. Es sind 392 Höhenmeter zu überwinden. Oben erwartet einen ein gutes Gipfelrestaurant. ~~~~~

Rechts in der Bildmitte die wenig auffällige Gipfelkuppe des Harschbichl (1.604 m) mit einer Almhütte und der Bergstation der Gondelbahn, die von St. Johann in Tirol (Österreich) herauf kommt. Tandem flights at Harschbichl near to St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria) are an attraction for courageous tourists. We were able to enjoy the take-off shown in this short video clip when we returned from a climbing tour to the summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn . ~~~~~ Tandemflüge am Harschbichl bei St. Johann in Tirol (Österreich) sind eine Attraktion für mutige Touristinnen und Touristen. Unbelievable: A little girl of only 6 years climbs this climb together with her parents (see PiP). ~~~~~ Unfassbar: Ein kleines Mädchen von nur 6 Jahren klettert diesen Steig zusammen mit seinen Eltern (siehe PiP). ~~~~~

A Mountain Avens (Dryas octopetala) , which exists at altitudes between 1,200 and 2,500m. The special thing about this alpine flower is that it attaches loose scree with its taproots and thus protects against erosion. ~~~~~ Ein weißer Silberwurz (Dryas octopetala) , der in Lagen zwischen 1.200 bis 2.500m vorkommt. Das Besondere an dieser Alpenblume ist, dass sie mit ihren Pfahlwurzeln loses Geröll befestigt und so vor Erosionen schützt. ~~~~~
