Navagio Beach
In October 1980, a coaster full of smuggled cigarettes was underway as cargo off the coast. Pursued by the coast guard, the 'Panagiotis' was shipwrecked in stormy seas and lies on the small beach to this day. The crew had already fled before and had taken refuge ashore, but that was no use - most of the smugglers were caught anyway.

"Im Oktober 1980 war ein Küstenmotorschiff voller geschmuggelter Zigaretten als Ladung vor der Küste unterwegs. Verfolgt von der Küstenwache erlitt die 'Panagiotis' bei stürmischer See Schiffbruch und liegt bis heute auf dem kleinen Strand. Die Crew war schon vorher geflüchtet und hatte sich an Land abgesetzt, was aber nichts nützte – die meisten Schmuggler wurden dennoch gefasst."
