Main Street of Zermatt

Evening mood in Zermatt (Switzerland) at christmas eve.
(Of course, I also have pictures of the usual Christmas kitsch, Santa Claus in a coach with horses, and so on. But I'll spare you that just before the beginning of spring.)

Abendstimmung in Zermatt (Schweiz) an Heiliabend.
(Ich hab natürlich auch Bilder vom üblichen Weihnachts-Kitsch. Nikolaus im Pferdegespann und desgleichen. Aber davon verschone ich euch so kurz vor Frühlingsanfang.)

Bergfex club has replied to Leo W clubBergfex club has replied to Andy Rodker clubBut in Zermatt any private vehicles or trucks aren't allowed. Visitors come by train or have to let their cars (with fuel engines) in a parking garages 10 km outside the village. Hotels will pick them up by electric vehicles. The whole traffic in Zermatt is electric. Even trucks and busses. It really works!
