OF FIREWORK

It's a firework, this fire,
this city. Some would
call it a poem,
principle or promise,
but the technique is to be
it all and be nothing
after all. Cause the
fire burns, like
loneliness. Not the one of
the cities, inhabited by
the crowded
inhumanity, but the one
from far away. Indefatigable,
the footsteps of those who think
them. What is applauded
in the end, if nothing is seen?
The words, released in the air
at great speed,
thunder shinning
in the dark night
like stars
pointing an outcome.
Right now, the fog, like
firework, veiled,
announces a possible
beginning, the way.

DO ARTIFÍCIO
É de artifício, este fogo,
esta cidade. Alguns lhe
chamariam poema,
princípio ou promessa,
mas a sua técnica é a de
ser isso tudo e não ser
nada afinal. É que o
fogo queima, como a
solidão. Não a das
cidades, habitadas pela
sua desumanidade
apinhada, mas a da
distância. Infatigáveis,
os passos de quem as
pensa. O que se aplaude
no fim, se nada se vê?
As palavras, soltas no ar
a grande velocidade,
trovões que
resplandecem na noite
escura como estrelas
indicando um desfecho.
Por ora, a névoa, como
artifício, velada,
anuncia um começo
possível, o caminho.
