Das Gelände ist in der Wüste, es gibt aber eine fest installierte Bühne und (nicht empfehlenswerte) sanitäre Anlagen. Das Festival ist entstanden aus einem jährlichen Clan-Treffen aller Touareg aus Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso und Algerien. Später traten dann dort auch Musiker aus Schwarzafrika auf. Es war wirklich ein einmaliges Erlebnis!
