Taken for 'The Sunday Challenge': "Make it more ghostly". See PiP for original.
As a note of interest Thomas Burberry (founder of the Burberry clothing empire) is buried 20m or so to the right of this scene.

Taken for 'The Sunday Challenge': "Taken with a mobile phone camera"
Pretty much SOOC, but cropped and sized on the PC.
The mirror like reflection was broken up just moments after taking this when a toddler ran up and threw a big branch in the pond.

Basingstoke's Fanum House, home of the AA, Automobile Association, and, until recently, the tallest building between London and New York (the nearby IBM building was refurbished and became Skyline Plaza, and a few feet were added to its height in order to steal the crown)

Basingstoke's shoe trees. Sadly the council have become aware of these and are now planning to remove the shoes, which is a great shame, to quote Mark E. Smith "life should be full of strangeness, like a rich painting"

Taken for 'The Sunday Challenge': "Unusual or odd shaped items"
This is Basingstoke's "Mother and Child Sculpture" in Wote Street. When erected it caused a bit of a hoo-haa with members of the council wanting it moved away from public display to avoid upsetting passers by, but it remains, and is known locally as 'Wote Street Willie'

Taken for 'The Sunday Challenge': "darkness in photography"
This is the "His & Kids" hair dresser that sadly went bust during the COVID lockdown, so the lights are out permanently.
