Uganda, Family of Lions on a Fig Tree

Uganda, Family of Lions on a Fig Tree
Lions climbing trees are not a special kind of lions. These are ordinary lions that live in the African savannah. But in areas where trees with thick strong branches grow, such as fig trees, lionesses with cubs prefer to spend most of their time on the branches. There is always a shadow and not hot, fewer insects, and lion cubs are well protected from possible attacks of hyenas and adult male lions. Males are not allowed on the branches and spend time on the ground.
Three adult lionesses and four lion cubs are located on this tree, but not all of them are visible in this photo.
