Tropaeolum beuthii I think, blooming happily in my garden room, a welcome splash of colour in December.

It does look like a type of trumpet vine ... I think!
But I've only ever seen them flower in the hottest days of summer!

Thanks Andy, this one is summer dormant and only appears as the days shorten, it has normally died down again before the summer starts.

Thanks neira-Dan, T. brachyceras is the other possible id for it, it may even be a hybrid. I cannot remember what it was purchased as, pretty sure it was a species rather than a hybrid though.

Thanks Rol, very much appreciated. I think T. minus may have its leaves entire rather then divided, palmate fashion is this one does, but to be truthful I'm not at all sure..
