Commenced her studies in Kharkov and went to St Petersburg , Paris & Milan. Debut 1892 at Marinsky as Queen "les Huguenots" . Sang in the premiere of "Iolanthe" by Tchaikovsky , She remained at the Marinsky for her whole career. Retired from the stage in 1912 after a farewell performance as Antonida in "A life of the Tsar" by Glinka
