I love this bird’s eye view. I have a lifelong fascination with maps, satellite photos etc. I can spend hours on Google Earth tracing the course of a river as it meanders, oblivious of political boundaries and borders.

That's a great perspective! The first time I had snails was indeed in Portugal together with my portuguese pen pal in 1969. We ate them on the go. It was a lovely summer evening in Costa de Caparica. What a long time ago and even today beautiful memories. Thank you for rousing these memories, Judite.
