Monument to Buçaco Battle.
Buçaco Battle brought about the defeat of General Massena's troops in 1810, within the 3rd napoleonic invasion of Portugal.
This monument was erected in 1873 and its location and characteristics of lightning rod caused its destruction by a thunderstorm in 1876. It was reconstructed in 1879.

Buçaco Palace Hotel.
Constructed between 1888 and 1907 after a project of the architect Luigi Manini, it was initially the Royal Game Pavilion. Not for long: monarchy gave way to republic in 1910 and some years later it was fully adapted to hotel.
It is located at Buçaco Forest Road.
