Arouca Monastery.

Also known as Arouca Convent, it's no longer used for religious purposes, except its church. In the last weekend of September it housed an exhibition within the Crops Festival, which attracted many visitors.

Roda dos enjeitados.

This cylindrical box was in the past used by poor families to deliver anonymously babies to be raised and fed by the nuns - something that the babies' parents hardly could do. A baby was put in that box, on the outside wall of Arouca Monastery. A rotation of the box would show its content to anyone passing by the inside wall.
