Evoramonte
Tied up castle.
This 14th century castle seems to be tied with ropes all around. It's the Castle of Evoramonte (also spelt Évora Monte), standing on top of the walled part of the village, a civil parish of Estremoz council, northeast of Évora.
Convention House.
Located at Convention Street, Evoramonte, this house was used on May 26th 1834 to sign the convention that put an end to the civil war (1828-1834), a fierce war between liberals and absolutists. The former defeated the latter, putting an end to absolute power of the kings.
