At Wrocław, near River Oder, and seen from Świętego Marcina.
Wrocław belonged to Germany until World War II, and was named Breslau. After the war, Stalin pushed the border of the Soviet Union westwards, incorporating a part of Poland in what is now Belarus. In order to diminish discontent in Poland, he pushed the Polish-German border westwards. Cities like Breslau and Stettin became Polish territory with their Polish names: Wrocław and Szczecin.
