Access to the canal that connects River Arno to the harbour of Livorno. Located at Largo de Grazia, Pisa, it was achieved between 1560 and 1576. This canal was destroyed in many sections during the World War II bombings. In the 1950's and 1960's it was restored, being now wider and deeper along its 17 km to the sea, and parallel to the railway between Pisa and Livorno.
