Interior of tide-mill.

The age of this mill is unknown; the oldest document referring to it dates back to the 17th century. It was almost destroyed and restoring was achieved in 2005.It has a tank that gets filled of water at high-tide. When tide gets lower, the tank's drain is open and, until the tank is empty, the water flow has energy to make grinding wheels rotate, thus producing flour from cereal seeds.
This mill can be seen by the waterside of Montijo.
