The lights in the distance are Puna, Peru. Seen large this isn't nearly so murky, at least on my monitor.

controlling how other people see your picture is a hopeless thing -- your photo will look different on different monitors, not to mention iPads and smart phones. This is dark and moody, but in an interesting way.

Agreed. Since I know that pictures (at least, my pictures) look darker when uploaded to Ipernity than they do on another site and on my computer, I tried to lighten this a bit, but that didn't work, probably because I lightened it too much. So I let the chips fall as they may. And you can't see them, anyway.

There are some really interesting colours in here, and they play a big role in the composition, helping the eyes grasp the view at once.
