And now I've realized why I was so unimpressed by Tate Modern. Many conceptual artists have lost any interest in pop, or arousing people. And when I was there I didn't see anything by the conceptual artists I like who are still interested (e. g., Tracey Emin, Jemima Steheli, Liz Cohen.).
This pops -- subtly, but it pops good.
I just realized I was interpreting this entirely as an abstract. There's also pop when you find the sword.
