The yellow flowers you got from Europe: Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) . In exchange we got this one. Both behave in their new enviroment rather mad, what means unfortunately quite invasive. But they make a good eyecatcher.
For the ciment the old Romans are resonsible - they were first with it. As far, as I know ...
And garage? Sounds even in my language fairly french. But it gets pushed out more and more by 'car port' ... well, well.
