WP1923 WPG - (LOOKING S DOWN ARTHUR FROM UNION BANK)

Date: Unposted. Likely 1910 (from note in the album this came from). Publisher / Photographer: The (low) quality of this photograph and the fact that, along with three others, it came from a private photo album indicates that this was likely not a commercially produced postcard, but one taken as a personal photograph by an individual - likely a traveller/visitor. The scene is the view looking south down Arthur Street - possibly taken from the Union Bank Tower or Leland Hotel. Evident in the image: - The Gualt Buiding, 100 Arthur Street (on the right side). - Grace Church (at the south end of Arthur street). - The Post Office Building on Portage Avenue (top left in the image). - The YMCA/Birks Building (odd little tower off to the right of the post office).
