Note the sizeable building at the far left-hand side of the park is the Warwick Apartments at 366 Qu'Appelle Ave. The large buildings in the background are on Portage Ave. - the largest being Eatons.

Date: Note on reverse dates it as August 5, 1910.
Publisher / Photographer: Circular stamp on reverse reads Princess Studio * Winnipeg * 530 Main Street.
Notation: The handwritten note on the reverse identifies this as the Telegram Picnic at Assiniboine Park. The Winnipeg Telegram was a local newspaper that began in 1907 and ended when it merged with the tribune in 1920.

Notation: This was the original pavilion in City Park. Constructed in 1908, it was destroyed by fire on May 19, 1929. Almost exactly a year later, on May 24, 1930 the new (present-day) pavilion was opened.
