MN1118 SOMERSET - NORTHERN CROWN BANK

POSTCARD
Date: Not evident. Not Posted.
Publisher / Photographer: Unidentified
Notation: This unmailed postcard is addressed to Mrs. Pauline Clukir in Pascoag, Rhode Island.
Postcard shows the Northern Crown Bank next to the Pioneer Departmental Store with J. A. Decosse, Proprietor on the awning - apparently, Joseph Antheme Decosse. The note on the reverse identifies the location as Somerset, Manitoba.
There is a man on top of the steps of the bank. The message on the card reads: "This is our Somerset Bank don't it look fine. Just going in for one of my Checks. The man that took that Just done it on Purpose So as to Catch me on the steps By By Uncle Henry." (A remote possibility that the writer of this card and the man on the steps might be Henry Thomson Champion who was a Director of the Northern Crown Bank.
